Laura Stahl, Administrator

We are very excited to have Mrs. Stahl as the new director for the Panama City campus. Mrs. Stahl has been working at the Renascence school since 2008, most recently as the director of operations. Mrs. Stahl’s background is well rounded, with a Master of Environmental Engineering and a Master of Health Sciences from Johns Hopkins University. Additionally, she holds a Civil Engineering degree from the University of California Los Angeles. Mrs. Stahl also has a very strong background in occupational health and environmental protection. With over 20 years of service for the United States military, Mrs. Stahl has lived in multiple countries across the world, and understands that diversity of culture is an important part of an individual’s ability to succeed in the global economy.

Elena Perkins, Administrative Assistant
Elena Perkins joined the Renascence School team in February of 2012. Mrs. Perkins comes from the city of Iasi, Romania where she obtained her Bachelor degree in economics, with a specialization in international economic relations. She then went on to earn her Masters in communications and public relations while working as the assistant to the manager of Midera Safety. Elena moved to the United States in 2009 where she has worked and taken courses in financial accounting. Elena is interested in foreign languages and loves to read, watch movies and do zumba and yoga.
Lubaba Bullock, Enrichment and Academic Support Instructor
Ms. Bullock is a newcomer to the Panama City area. She was educated in Germany where she learned to speak German and English and developed a working knowledge of French. She attended the Waldorf School for her primary and secondary education, so she is well versed in approaches that encourage subject area understanding before the introduction of computers. In addition to teaching, Ms. Bullock enjoys travel and spending time with her family.

Aura Poulos, L4, L5, L10, L20, L30 & L70 Spanish Teacher
Aura Poulos is a native of Columbia. In 2008, Aura received her Master's degree in Education at the University Rene Descartes in Paris France. Miss Poulos also has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University Konrad Lorenz in Bogota Colombia. Aura is multilingual, fluent in Spanish, English and French. Before coming to the United States, Aura helped students to reach their full learning potential, both as a teacher and a school counselor in Bogota Columbia. Miss Poulos enjoys arts and crafts and has strong technology skills that she hopes to share with her students.
Xiaowei Lui, Preschool and L20 Chinese Teacher
Xiaowei Liu joined Renascence School International with a Master degree from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching Chinese as a second Language. She is an experienced Mandarin Chinese teacher, with various levels and ages of children. She has also worked with the Jordan Institute in developing Chinese cultural and language workshops for children who intern in China. While in China, Ms. Liu was a co-Director for a cross cultural program at Xi'an, Shaanxi, China.

Kristi Sellers, L4 - L20 English Teacher
Kristi Sellers studied history at Louisiana Tech University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice at Faulkner University in Montgomery Alabama. Before coming to the Renascence School, Mrs. Sellers worked in the legal system and in management positions where she utilized her keen organization skills and plentiful energy helping companies grow and succeed. Kristi has spent time in Germany, is married to a military officer and has always taken an active role in the lives of her three children. Mrs. Sellrs is looking forward to making a difference in the lives of today's youth.
Yu Qiao, Math and Science Teacher
Yu Qiao began her higher education in Chengdu China at Sichuan University in 2010 where she received her Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering. Yu then moved to Tallahassee Florida, where she continued her study in Environmental Engineering. While completing her Master's degree at Florida State University, Miss Qiao worked as a research and teaching assistant. She obtained her Master's degree in 2012, and then went on to teach children Chinese at the Tallahassee Chinese School. Miss Yu is excited to share her knowledge and experience with her students, and we are happy to have her as part of our team.

John Ward, L30 - L80 English and History Teacher
John Ward earned his Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science from the University of Washington. He did his post-graduate work at the University of Washington Law School. Before joining the Renascence team, Mr. Ward worked as an Individual Real Estate & Securities Investor and also spent time in Alaska working as a Deck Boss on a Commercial Fishing Boat. John has enjoyed his time spent with his daughter and looks forward to motivating children. He hopes to make the learning in the classroom not only educational but also enjoyable for his students.
Xiaoshuai Yuan, L10 Chinese, L30, L40 and L80 Chinese Teacher
Xiaoshuai Yuan hopes to achieve success through the understanding that foreign languages can be taught as communication tools rather than only as a subject. Mr. Yuan has volunteered in teaching Korean students basic Chinese culture, customs, and communication skills. Mr. Yuan earned his Bachelor degree in English from Harbin Normal University in Harbin China, as well as Master degree in Second and Foreign Language Teaching from Florida State University. Before coming to the Renascence School, he taught at the Pineview Elementary School in Tallahassee Florida. Mr. Yuan loves reading, playing soccer and watching movies.
